Will Bunton

Will Bunton has spent nearly a decade building a reputation as one of dunking’s most explosive high flyers. A native of Durham, North Carolina, Bunton first dunked at age 12 while attending Githens Middle School, discovering early that he possessed the athletic ability to play above the rim in ways few athletes can.

Now based in Hollywood, Florida, Bunton has competed around the world and earned opportunities with some of the biggest brands in basketball. Along the way, he has developed a style built around elevation, power, and crowd pleasing athleticism.

Known for his signature dunk, “Kiss the Wife Goodbye,” Bunton has always embraced creativity while relying on the elite vertical ability that separates him from many competitors. He describes his style in two simple words: high flying. Even after years of competition, he continues chasing new challenges, including landing a double Eastbay.

Inspired by legends such as Vince Carter and James White, Bunton believes the greatest dunks are completed without assistance or shortcuts. He pays close attention to technique and feels that both judges and fans often overlook the difference between pure athleticism and dunks that rely on pushing off another person. For Bunton, that distinction matters.

Now, Bunton enters Dunkman as one of the experienced veterans helping launch the world’s first professional league dedicated to dunking. He sees the opportunity as a major milestone for the sport and a chance to continue proving himself against the best dunkers in the world.
