Vadym Piddubchenko

Few athletes in the history of competitive dunking can match the résumé of Vadym Piddubchenko. Known throughout the dunk world as “Miller,” the Ukrainian high-flyer has spent more than a decade establishing himself as one of the sport’s most accomplished and respected competitors.

Born in Stakhanov, Ukraine, and now based in Austin, Texas, Piddubchenko first dunked at age 14 and quickly discovered a talent that would take him around the world. Over the next fourteen years, he transformed that talent into an international career built on creativity, consistency, and elite execution.

Standing 6 foot 4, Piddubchenko has become known for a deep arsenal of difficult dunks, including the 360 Between the Legs, Scorpion Off the Bounce, Between the Legs Scorpion, and Under Both Legs. Inspired by Vince Carter’s legendary combination of power and style, Miller developed a dunking approach that blends athleticism with technical precision.

His accomplishments place him among the most decorated athletes in the field. Piddubchenko is a two-time European Dunk Champion, and the winner of more than 50 international dunk contests. He credits much of his success to experience and his ability to consistently complete difficult dunks under pressure.

Piddubchenko believes great dunking requires more than simply making a dunk. He values difficulty, height, style, and a clean, powerful finish. He is also outspoken about what he sees as one of the biggest issues in modern dunk contests: the scoring of push off dunks. In his view, judges should place greater emphasis on pure athletic ability and technical execution.

Family remains his biggest motivation, and he approaches competition with a simple mindset: he wants to win every challenge he faces. Guided by the belief that “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard,” he continues to push himself despite already accomplishing more than most dunkers ever will.

Now, Piddubchenko enters Dunkman as one of the sport’s most accomplished veterans. He sees the league as an opportunity to be part of dunking history while continuing to compete against the best athletes in the world. His goal is to enjoy the process, perform at the highest level, and add another chapter to an already remarkable career.

When his career is over, Piddubchenko hopes to be remembered for one thing: being a champion. And if fans leave saying, “That was Miller’s time,” he will know he made his mark on the sport.
