New Williams Bio
New Williams has built his reputation on a rare combination of power, precision, and finesse. A veteran of the competitive dunking scene, the Los Angeles native has spent the past decade developing a style that blends explosive athleticism with polished execution.
Born in Inglewood, California, Williams first dunked at just 12 years old while attending middle school. His athletic gifts became apparent early, and over time he developed into one of the most physically gifted dunkers in the sport. Standing 6 foot 2 with a reported 42 inch standing vertical and a remarkable 51-inch maximum vertical leap, Williams possesses the type of explosiveness that immediately commands attention.
His signature dunks, including the Windmill Honey Dip and Drop Step Eastbay, showcase the balance of power and technical precision that defines his style. Inspired by legendary dunker T Dub, Williams describes his approach in two words: powerful precision.
Over the course of his career, Williams has captured six dunk contest titles while earning a reputation as one of the sport’s most consistent performers. He believes what separates him from other elite dunkers is his unique blend of power, precision, and finesse, allowing him to execute difficult dunks with both force and control.
Williams is passionate about improving the way dunk contests are judged. He believes inconsistent scoring remains one of the sport’s biggest challenges and feels judges can sometimes place too much value on showmanship while overlooking the technical details of a dunk. For him, a truly great dunk comes down to one thing: a strong finish.
Away from competition, Williams is motivated by his daughter, who serves as his biggest source of inspiration. Guided by the belief that “Your focus determines your reality,” he approaches both life and competition with discipline and determination. His favorite athlete, Kobe Bryant, embodies the same relentless mindset that Williams strives to bring to everything he does.
Now, Williams enters Dunkman with the opportunity to help shape the future of the sport. He believes most athletes get the chance to compete in a sport, but very few get the opportunity to help define one. For him, success means becoming the best version of himself, pushing beyond his own limits, and competing for championships on
