Jordan Southerland Bio
Jordan Southerland has spent more than a decade building a reputation as one of the most creative and accomplished one foot dunkers in the world.
Born in Marietta, Georgia, Southerland first dunked at 14 years old and has been competing at the highest levels of professional dunking for more than a decade. Standing 6 foot 3, he developed a style that combines creativity, grace, and power, while mastering dunks traditionally associated with two foot jumpers.
Known throughout the dunk community as “1 Foot God,” Southerland has made his unique approach to one foot dunking his calling card. Signature dunks such as the Reverse 360 Windmill and Inverter showcase the combination of technical ability and style that has defined his career.
What separates Southerland is his versatility and willingness to experiment. He describes his style as “when creative meets grace and injects it power,” and takes pride in performing dunks typically reserved for two foot jumpers while attacking from one foot.
His competitive drive extends well beyond dunking. Southerland lives by the philosophy “Be Patient. Stay Ready,” an approach that reflects the persistence required to build a career in a sport that, until now, has never had a true professional league.
For Southerland, joining Dunkman represents more than another competition. Having competed through multiple eras of professional dunking, he has watched the sport evolve from its early pioneers through the rise of social media and into its next chapter. Being part of that progression and seeing dunking reach the professional stage is something he takes tremendous pride in.
Now his objective is simple: win it all. Southerland wants to cement his legacy as the one-foot dunker who changed the one-foot game forever. And when fans look back on his career, he hopes their reaction is just as simple:
“That boy good!”
