Antonio Eaglan’s journey in dunking is a testament to perseverance, self belief, and a relentless commitment to improving his craft.

Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, Eaglan did not throw down his first dunk until he was 17 years old at a neighborhood park near his childhood home. While many elite dunkers begin developing their skills much earlier, Eaglan quickly made up for lost time through determination, athleticism, and countless hours of practice.

Known by the nickname “Teezy,” Eaglan has developed a style that is smooth, effortless, and uniquely his own. Standing 6 foot 3 with a reported 48 inch vertical leap, he has built a reputation for making difficult dunks appear easy. His signature Reverse 360 Under Both has become one of the defining moves in his arsenal, while his current pursuit is landing an even more difficult version off the glass.

Over the last several years, Eaglan has earned the opportunity to compete alongside many of the best dunkers in the world. Inspired by legendary dunker Chris Staples, he has continued to refine his skills while developing his own identity within the sport. His favorite dunk of all time remains Staples’ iconic 360 Under Both over a person, a dunk that helped shape his vision of what is possible in competitive dunking.

Eaglan believes one of the biggest challenges in modern dunk contests is ensuring that judges and fans fully understand the difficulty of what they are watching. He feels that technical details often go unnoticed, particularly when it comes to off the dribble dunks and movements that require exceptional timing and coordination. For him, the qualities that define a great dunk are style, power, difficulty, and rarity.

Away from the court, family serves as his greatest source of motivation. His children drive everything he does and fuel his desire to keep improving as both an athlete and a person. That perspective is reflected in the advice he lives by: every shot you do not take is a missed shot. Rather than fearing failure, Eaglan believes in giving yourself a chance and pursuing opportunities whenever they arise.

Now, Eaglan has the opportunity to compete on the biggest stage the sport has ever seen as part of Dunkman, the world’s first professional league dedicated to dunking. While he admits the opportunity feels overwhelming at times, he also recognizes the significance of being part of a movement that could change the future of the sport forever.

His goals extend beyond championships and trophies. Eaglan wants to inspire young athletes to chase their dreams regardless of where they come from. He hopes success in Dunkman will allow him to motivate others through his passion and dedication, while building a future where he can continue supporting his family and pursuing the sport he loves. When his career is over, he simply wants fans to remember him as a great competitor who never stopped believing in himself and never stopped beating the odds.
